Welcome to the 4QC

After Lisbon, Copenhagen and Rotterdam, it was time for Finland to host the 4th quality conference and the Quality Conference Movement took us to Tampere, Finland.

The 4th Quality Conference for Public Administrations in the EU
– Building Sustainable Quality was organised
on the 27 - 29 of September 2006.

About 1200 civil servants from all around Europe participated the conference and shared good practices and innovations in an open atmosphere which has become familiar during the previous conferences.

The conference included

  • plenary sessions with high profile key-note speakers from different parts of the world,
  • workshops, where public sector best practices from all EU-member states are introduced,
  • agoras, where ideas are shared under many different topics and
  • a social programme where the participants get a glance at the local culture, past and present.

The Conference was  hosted by the Finnish Ministry of Finance.
