Short description of the case:
Regional Office for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufetat), Southern Norway is the regional office for the welfare and protection of children and families. Its main objective is to provide services of high and accurate quality to children, young people and families in need of assistance and support regardless of where in Norway they live. From January 1st 2004 was Bufetat organized by the Norwegian government. As a result of this, there was higher demands regarding quality control of our services. During 2005 Bufetat, Southern Norway, decided to use CAF as a quality model. A pilot project included five units (child welfare institutions and family counselling offices) and 100 employees started in August 2005. The aim is to implement CAF in 40 different units within the end of 2008. The case will focus on the following subjects: (a) the projects anchor in the organisation , (b) preparation, education and motivation work with staff, (c) description of the pilot project, (d) results from the pilot project and (e) plan for further implementation
