Short description of the case:

From some years the Municipality of Jesolo has started an innovative experience producing "Jesolo Report - social reporting", a tool for accountability. Through Jesolo Report the organization describes the performances achieved from the Municipality, the plans developed and the results reached starting from the Organisation Strategic Plan. Jesolo Report is a document reporting the social responsibility of the Municipal Administration related to its stakeholders and its environment. In order to write it, the General manager has constituted a work group, called the “Social Reporting Workshop", constituted from managers and leading employees of the Municipal Administration; they created the model and the guidelines leading to the document’s writing. The Administration has activated stakeholders’s preventive consultation systems in order to know their requirements and their necessities to concert the participations in t he territory. Jesolo Report 2004 has gained the “Oscar di Bilancio 2005”, an italian annual award for financial reporting, in the category Central & Territorial Organizations of Public Administration, assigned from the Ferpi (Italian Public Relations Federation).
