Short description of the case:
This case presentation explains how the European Commission, starting from the Reform Process initiated in 2000, envisages to professionalize its HR management, notably through a simplification of its administrative procedures in this area, an enhanced and rationalised use of the IT tools and a strategic use of evaluations. The case study deals with how to achieve an efficient public administration, an important step towards realising the Lisbon objectives.
